J League Daily Report - 2026-10-15: V-Varen Nagasaki confirm professional deal for Thai goalkeeper Poomraphee

V-Varen Nagasaki confirmed on 15 October 2026 that Thai goalkeeper Poomraphee Siribunyakul will sign a professional contract with the J.League club from 1 January 2027. The 18-year-old is currently studying at Kashima Gakuen High School in Japan, where he helped the team reach the final of the country’s 104th National High School Soccer Championship. Poomraphee has also been involved in Thailand’s youth national-team setup. His move will take him into senior football after his development through the Japanese school system and his performances in high-level youth competition.

Poomraphee had previously trained with V-Varen Nagasaki, reportedly impressing the club sufficiently to earn a professional opportunity. The agreement represents a notable step for one of Thailand’s promising young goalkeeping prospects and gives him a route into the Japanese professional game. V-Varen have developed players who later represented Japan or moved overseas, including Ayase Ueda and Haruto Miura, although Poomraphee’s immediate challenge will be establishing himself within the club’s senior structure after his contract begins next year. His arrival will also draw attention in Thailand as he continues towards the professional and international levels.
